FAQS

  • Rooftop has a walk-in-only policy. Whilst this means there is no guarantee of a table, it also means if you make an impulsive decision to visit us on level seven, the odds are in your favour. As always, get in early to enjoy the sunshine and avoid the queue.

  • Of course! At Rooftop we have a wide range of delicious beverages including tap beer, wine, signature and classic cocktails, plus lots of non-alc options. See our menu here.

Please be aware that Rooftop Bar is a licensed venue, thus you must be either over 18 to visit us – or be chaperoned by a parent or legal guardian. Unless of course you’re coming for burgers and the view.

  • The Burger Shack is open from 12 noon every day. Sometimes if it’s super hot we open a little later in the day.

We can cater to vegans, vegetarians, and have gluten free options. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a completely gluten-free environment as we work with gluten-containing ingredients, and unfortunately our meat is not halal.

    See our menu here.

  • Our crystal ball broke years ago, but generally, if it’s warm and sunny, it will be busy. If it’s cold, windy and raining outside, it won’t be as busy. Strange but true.

  • See above. We’re limited to a certain number of patrons at any one time. When we reach capacity, we will operate a “one in, one out” entrance system.

  • Sure, we’re happy to host your canine pals. The deal is, they have to remain on their leash and will need to be back in their kennels by sundown. Half price drinks if the dog looks like its owner.

  • Minors can enter and remain at Rooftop without an adult only if visiting for the purpose of eating at Burger Shack.

  • Vitrine Editions is our art space! We exhibit the works of early career & emerging artists, through the reproduction of two existing, unique artworks.

  • We certainly can! Stay in the know and sign up to our newsletter here.

  • Yes! Happy Hour is from 4–6pm on weekdays. We change our offering seasonally. To find our about our latest selection head to our instagram.

Please note, we do not offer Happy Hour prices on public holidays.

  • This is important to transgender or non-binary people who don’t identify as men or women; who often fear being attacked or discriminated against if they use either gender’s loos. All we request is that you respect this space and keep the cubicles tidy. One at a time please 😉

  • Sorry, but that’s a no. We want Rooftop to be open for everyone all the time. Mesa Verde, just a floor below us, can host private functions.

    See function pack here.

  • Of course you can. We will just require a credit card and photo ID.

  • Sure, if you want, but only in the designated areas.

  • You can find them all here.

  • We really regret that Rooftop Bar is not wheelchair accessible. The Curtin House Lift only goes as far as level 6. There’s one flight of stairs to ascend to the roof. We do have an ambulant bathroom for those who require these facilities.

  • Unfortunately, there are no plans to revive the Rooftop Cinema. It was a great time, and we’re sad it’s over, but like all good things, they come to an end.

If you were the lucky recipient of a Rooftop Cinema gift voucher and you are yet to redeemed it, please contact us.

  • Our weather protection at Rooftop is limited. We have a number of umbrellas, as well as retractable roofing systems in the bar and decking area to provide extra shelter from the rain.

  • If the temperature is predicted to rise above 38°C we typically open once the mercury starts to drop – usually around 5 or 6pm. This is for the health and safety of our staff and customers. It’s much hotter 7 levels closer to the sun, trust us!

You can check our social media for updates if you want to be sure.

  • Yes, on Sundays we have a 10% surcharge and on public holidays we have a 15% surcharge.

All credit card transactions incur a payment processing fee.

  • Generally speaking, no. We do have deejays seven days a week though! If you’re interested in playing at Rooftop reach out music@rooftop.net.au
